NIST has moved 3 post-quantum cryptography algorithms, CRYSTALS-Kyber, CRYSTALS-Dilithium, and SPHINCS+, to the final stages for standardization and released an initial public draft.
CRYSTALS-Kyber is designed for general encyrption purposes, while CRYSTALS-Dilithium and SPHINCS+ are designed for digital signatures.
A fourth algorithm, FALCON, will likely get a draft in 2024.
Still, the competition is open, so more candidates may be added! Follow me for more quantum and tech news.
